Walt Disney's Studio's presents Mars Needs Moms opens in theaters March 11, 2011.  Rated PG

For the most part nine-year old Milo is a typical child.  He reluctantly cooperates some of the time when his mom asks him to take out the trash, help out around the house and eat all of his vegetables. But one evening, when his dad's flight home is delayed, Milo is disappointed when their plans to see a movie are put on hold.

His mom tries to cheer him up with the promise to stay home and watch a movie he's been eager to see on TV.  But Milo makes an unfortunate decision at the dinner table which results in his mother sending him to his room and he doesn't get to watch the movie afterall. Milo fumes and goes into a tirade and he chooses to talk back to his mom by saying "Who needs moms anyway?"  Milo's mom, played by Joan Cusick, is deeply hurt by his comment.

Meanwhile, little does Milo and his mom know that Martians have been watching their every move in search of that perfect mom who embodies all that's good, nurturing and well, motherly.  Mars needs this motherly essence in order to fuel the nanny-bots who raise baby Martians.  Milo's mom is their target.

Milo (played by Seth Green) learns just how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when the Martian's nab her. Produced by the team behind “Disney’s A Christmas Carol” and “The Polar Express,” “Mars Needs Moms” showcases Milo’s heart felt journey to save his mom in a wild adventure in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX® 3D.  Milo's quest takes him on a Martian spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader (played Mindy Sterling). With the help of a tech-savvy, underground earthman named Gribble (Dan Fogler) and a rebel Martian girl called Ki (Elisabeth Harnois), Milo just might find his way back to his mom—in more ways than one.
