@Abreva Giveaway: Cold Season Often Means Cold Sores - YIKES!

Did you know that approximately 80 million Americans will experience at least one cold sore during the year? Although it is often a taboo topic, cold sores are very common. As temperatures continue to drop and winter-related illnesses rise, the chance of a cold sore being triggered increases. Cold temperatures and illness are just two triggers that can cause cold sore outbreaks. Other triggers include sun exposure, injury to the mouth, lack of sleep and stress.

There are many myths about cold sore treatments (i.e. using ice or tea bags, pricking it with a needle, etc.) however these remedies have not been clinically proven to heal cold sores or shorten the healing time. Although home remedies may make it temporarily feel better, using them can possibly make the cold sore worse.

Abreva is the only over the counter cold sore medicine that is FDA approved to shorten healing time. It speeds healing like a prescription but without one.

  1. does this start friday or end friday?

    1. Please enter now, sorry about that. I'll clarify the post that you can enter now and the announcement will be Feb 3rd. Thanks!

  2. This is weird, my husband just got a cold sore (lol). I've never had one but my husband gets them once in a while (like right now). He treats it with camphophenique (?) but he says it doesn't really work. Other than that, he just waits for it to heal on its own. He says that when you touch it though, it stings :(
Would love to win this for him, he would be so happy!
    Thanks for the giveaway
